Welcome to your luxury safari in Kenya! Take a night to rest in Nairobi, recuperating from your flight, before heading out to Amboseli with your private guide. Spend two nights in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, watching elephants, before continuing on to Ol Pejeta. After two nights in the foothills of Mount Kenya, spend a night in the Great Rift Valley at glorious Lake Elmenteita. Then it’s on to the game-rich Masai Mara for your last three nights on safari.


Day 1

Kenya arrival

On your arrival in Nairobi, we will meet and escort you by our private vehicle to Hemingways Nairobi Hotel. Enjoy a welcome safari briefing at your hotel with the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 2

Nairobi - Amboseli

Breakfast will be served at your hotel before you set off with your safari guide towards Namanga. Enter Amboseli National Park and enjoy game viewing on the way to your Camp, Tortilis Camp. Be in awe of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, providing a spectacular backdrop on your afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Camp

Day 3

Amboseli Game Drive

Set off on your early morning game drive in anticipation of Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-covered peak being clear and uncovered. Return for a late breakfast with the remainder of the morning to relax after lunch, take a late afternoon game drive around the many lakes and springs – fed by Kilimanjaro’s melting snows in search of Amboseli’s legendary elephant herds. Dinner and overnight at Tortilis camp

Day 4

Amboseli – Ol Pejeta

Enjoy an early breakfast and depart for Ol Pejeta, a private wildlife sanctuary overlooking Mount Kenya. Break for lunch at a unique location as well as a fun photo opportunity at the equator en route.
Arrive late afternoon at Sweetwaters Serena Camp, built around a floodlit waterhole. Dinner and overnight at the camp

Day 5

Ol Pejeta Game drive

Take in a say of game viewing activities with your safari guide in the Ol Pejeta reserve, visiting the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, where abandoned and rescued chimps are rehabilitated. A selection of optional activities including:- night game drives, escorted walking safaris and camel rides with the local naturalist are available. Dinner and overnight at the camp

Day 6

Ol Pejeta – Lake Elmenteita

Enjoy breakfast, then depart for the Great Rift Valley, a location of some of the oldest, largest, and deepest lakes in the world. The alkaline shallow soda lakes of Lake Elmenteita and Lake Nakuru are famous for their flamingo flocks, which gather to feed and bread along the lakeshore. After lunch, take the afternoon at your leisure to explore around the lakeshore at camp Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp.

Day 7

Great Rift Valley

Your safari guide will arrange a day of exploring to suit your preference before you return to your camp. You may visit nearby Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its flamingo as well as a breeding sanctuary for the endangered black rhino, white rhino, and rare Rothschild giraffe. Alternatively, travel further north to another Rift Valley lake, lake Bogoria for some great bird watching.
Enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to your camp for dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 8

Maasai Mara

Depart after breakfast and drive along the Great Rift Valley floor and enter the Maasai Mara National Reserve, where you immediately begin game viewing, passing wildlife herds on the vast savannah plains as you drive towards your accommodation Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp. After lunch, take a late afternoon game drive, returning to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 9

Full Day Game drive

Enjoy a full day of exceptional game viewing in the Maasai Mara following herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, eland, topi, impala, and many other species. Herds of giraffes and elephants create a magical silhouette against the treeless savannah. Your safari guide can arrange an extended game viewing drive, traveling further into the sanctuary far away from the other visitors and vehicles. Enjoy a picnic lunch before returning late afternoon to your camp for dinner and overnight

Day 10

Another Full day game drive

Experience another full day of game viewing, enjoying a picnic lunch under a magnificent acacia tree before returning late afternoon to your camp.
Lion, leopard, and cheetah are found here in greater concentrations than anywhere else in Africa and you may be lucky to catch one of the big cats stalking its prey.
Dinner and overnight at the camp

Day 11

Maasai Mara – Nairobi

After a final morning game drive, return for breakfast at the camp before your transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward travel arrangements
